The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay is advising residents that due to an unexpected leak in the water line, there will be a water shut off beginning at approximately 9:00 a.m. on May 2nd. The expected completion time for the emergency repairs is between 9:00am – 2:00 p.m. The following areas will be affected:
Broomfield Street
As a result of this interruption, the Town will be issuing a boil water advisory for residents of this area until further notice. The Town apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
Residents are advised to bring water that you might ingest to a rigorous rolling boil for one (1) minute.
For Example, boil water used for:
Drinking
Brushing teeth
Making juice from concentrate and powders
Cooking
Washing fruits and vegetables
Making tea, coffee and other hot drinks
Making infant formula and cereals
