The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay is advising residents that due to an unexpected break in the water line, some areas of Spruce Park will be affected by a water shut off tomorrow, May 4th. At this time, the Town does not have a specific list of streets this water shut off will be affecting.
Crews will work to make emergency repairs to the water line and restore services to residents in Spruce Park. There is no estimated restoration time, but residents will be updated as the situation progresses.
As a result of this interruption, the Town will be issuing a boil water advisory for residents of the affected areas following the restoration of water services. The Town apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
Residents are advised to bring water that you might ingest to a rigorous rolling boil for one (1) minute.
For Example, boil water used for:
Drinking
Brushing teeth
Making juice from concentrate and powders
Cooking
Washing fruits and vegetables
Making tea, coffee and other hot drinks
Making infant formula and cereals
