Winter Carnival 2020 CANCELLED

Information for the Public

The Happy Valley-Goose Bay 2020 Winter Carnival Committee is advising the public that due to concerns centered around the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), all events are officially canceled for the Happy Valley-Goose Bay 2020 Winter Carnival.

David Martin, Chair of the 2020 Carnival stated: “This decision was a difficult one to make for the committee, however in the interest of public health and safety, it is the right one.”

Happy Valley-Goose Bay Town Councillor and Chair of the Town’s Community Services and Recreation Department stated: “It is unfortunate that we had to make this decision, there were countless hours put in by dedicated volunteers, we certainly appreciate the effort and regret having to make this decision, but in the end, it is the right decision to make.”
