Traffic Advisory – Emergency Water Line Repairs

Mesher Street – 1 to 19/20 (Both Sides of Street)

The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay Department of Water & Sewer is advising residents and businesses that due to a break in the water distribution line on Mesher Street, emergency repairs to the Water Distribution line will begin Wednesday, February 17 2021, at 9:00 AM.

Crews are onsite throughout the night and have barricades in place, and motorists are advised to drive with caution in this area.

The Public is further advised that residences and businesses in this area WILL experience a complete loss of water for up to four hours starting at approximately 9:00 AM, Wednesday, February 17, 2021; this is necessary to complete repairs to the water distribution line.

Area affected:

• Traffic Advisory – Mesher Street in the vicinity of 8 Mesher Street
• Water Loss during repairs – #1 to #19/20 Mesher Street (both sides of street)

Upon completion of repairs to the Water Distribution Line, a Boil Water Advisory will be in effect. The Town will issue a follow-up notice to that effect.

Town Crews will have barricades and all applicable Safety Signage visible throughout tonight. During the repairs on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, and motorists are encouraged to exercise caution in and around the area.
