The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay Volunteer Fire Department is inviting the general public to an open house hosted by the Volunteer Fire Department. This event will take place Sunday, May 5th, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

 

May 5 to 11, 2019 is Emergency Preparedness Week and to kick off the week Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay Fire Department Chief, Brad Butler and members of the Volunteer Fire Department will be on hand to advise you on how your home can be better prepared in the event of an emergency.

 

Drop by and see the unveiling of our new “Fire Extinguisher Training Simulator”. A prize of a “72 Hour Home Emergency Kit” will be given away, and refreshments will also be available.

 

Emergency Preparedness Week is an annual event that takes place each year during the first full week of May and is an opportunity to encourage Canadians to take concrete actions to be better prepared to protect themselves and their families during emergencies.

 

The Open House Event takes place at the Volunteer Fire Department located at 210 Hamilton River Road.
