Kelland Drive Road Upgrade & Extension Project Update

The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay is advising residents that a tender was called in August 2020 for Local Road Improvements, which included the extension of Kelland Drive to Corte Real Road and the reconstruction of the remaining sections of Kelland Drive requiring significant upgrades.
The awarding of the contract is to be put before Council at a 5:00 PM Special Council Meeting (live-streamed) on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, and the Kelland Drive Road Upgrade & Extension Project is anticipated to commence in Spring 2021.
Residents will notice that there is currently paving activity taking place at the Central Labrador YMCA. For clarification, the paving contractor is in Town performing other work unrelated to the Kelland Drive Road Upgrade & Extension Project.
