Warming Centre Open – Salvation Army

Following a meeting with Town Council, Staff, the MHA, and Fire and Emergency Services with the Province-and telephone conversation with HYDRO, the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay offer the below-updated information.
NL Hydro is still working to bring all of Upper Lake Melville back on full power tonight.
As a precaution, a warming Centre is now open at the Salvation Army Church.
Anyone requiring transportation to and from the Salvation Army Church, please call the Municipal Enforcement Line at 896-3322.

Just for clarification, the Warming Center at the Bethel Tabernacle Pentecostal Church is now closed.
The Town will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.
