Town Lowers Flags in Honour of Gary Thompson

The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay was shocked and saddened to learn of the sudden passing of a very well known, well-liked resident of Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Gary Thompson.
With a smile that instantly lit up any room, Gary and his dear friend Harris Wolfrey were regular fixtures throughout the community. Whether at Northmart, on their many walks throughout the community, or at any community festival event, the smiles and warm greetings were always present and ever so infectious.
The 12th Council, Management, and Staff of the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay offer sincere condolences to the family and friends of Gary Thompson. Most heartfelt condolences go especially to Gary’s longtime friend Harris and indeed to the Happy Valley-Goose Bay Howling Huskies Special Olympics Team.
In honour of his life and support of the Happy Valley-Goose Bay Howling Huskies Team, flags in front of Town Hall will fly at half-mast until Friday evening, June 12, 2020.
