The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay reminds the public of the importance of reporting any wildlife sightings to the appropriate authorities.
The Department of Fisheries and Land Resources, Wildlife Division, has trained staff to deal with wildlife situations.
Wildlife Officials do not monitor Social Media to track wildlife sightings. Therefore, residents are encouraged if they see any wildlife such as Bears and or Foxes in the Happy Valley-Goose Bay area; before posting to Social Media, please contact:
- North West River Forestry and Wildlife District Office at 709-897-8479 (regular office hours)
- After Hours Line (24/7) at 709-897-7116.
The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay will provide updates to residents as soon as they are available. We appreciate the patience and understanding of the public on this matter.
