The Happy Valley-Goose Bay Town Council are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Mayor John Hickey at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John’s late last evening, surrounded by his family.

Following a hunting accident on Saturday, December 9th involving Mayor John Hickey, the Town Council met on Sunday to discuss the future operations of the Council during the Mayor’s absence.
