Councillor Pam Duffett – Chair Protective Services Committee
Born and raised in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, it was no question to Pam Duffett whether she would start her career and adult life here. She proudly proclaims “I am lucky to be able to start a career in a place with so much family. Most mornings, you’ll find her at her Pop Duffett’s for a quick coffee.
Pam currently is a business owner with her own Registered Massage Therapy Clinic. She is also in the midst of obtaining her Indigenous Social Work Degree as well. While she loves her career, Pam’s heart is with her volunteer positions. She is an active volunteer with the Melville Mantas Swim Team as the pre-competitive coach, and she sits on the Board of Directors as the Secretary for the Mokami Status of Women’s Council and the Labrador North Chamber of Commerce.
“I try my best to help out where ever possible in the community. ”
Anyone who knows Pamela Duffett knows she has to keep busy. In her downtime, she likes to stay active and get outdoors. In the winters if you head to the basin you’ll see her on her snowshoes with her dog in tow on the way to the cabin.
Pam is excited to sit on the 13th Council of the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay and looks forward to helping bring positive changes to our community. “I hope to be a Councillor people feel they can approach and receive respect from.”
