Public Parking at EJ Broomfield Arena

During Opening Ceremonies of the

2019 Labrador Winter Games

Information for the Public

The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay is advising motorists that before and during the Opening Ceremonies of the 2019 Labrador Winter Games Sunday, March 17, 2019; Parking will only be available in the designated parking lot of the EJ Broomfield Memorial Arena. Parking will not be permitted behind the arena under any circumstance. Vehicles of any kind (Busses, Cars, Trucks, Snowmobiles, ATV’s) parked behind the arena during the event will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Ground Search and Rescue will be on hand to assist in directing vehicles to the appropriate parking location.

Motorists are also encouraged to not park in front of Precision Auto as this will block access to the Ambulance Bay.

These very important safety measures will be in place to permit the safe landing and take off of a 5 Wing 444 Squadron Griffon Helicopter behind the EJ Broomfield Memorial Arena.
