Town Launching Historical Mapping Project

The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay is advising the public of a new “Historical Mapping Project”. In order to make this project a success, we are requesting the assistance of the community.
The Historical Mapping Project seeks to identify areas within our community that have a historical significance to Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
Would you like to discover Happy Valley-Goose Bay’s rich and vibrant past? Would you like to see how the Town has transformed over time? Do you have interesting pictures of these changes?
The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay is requesting photo submissions from the public to include in an interactive mapping tool that will be available on the Town’s Website. The photos must include the date and location where the photo was taken as well as a brief description of the photo. Photos can be submitted by e-mail to gistech@townhvgb.com or pr@townhvgb.com. If you prefer, you can bring your photos into the Town office where we can scan them on site! Any questions can be directed to Courtney Dunn at 709-896-2437 or Waylon Williams at 709-896-1609.
Deadline to submit photos is 4:00 PM Friday, June 28, 2019.
