Today is Provincial Francophonie Day and in celebration of this important occasion, the Town welcomed students, teachers, parents, 
and other community members to the Town Hall for the annual ceremony and flag raising event.
Councillor Jackie Compton Hobbs offered greetings and remarked; “Happy Valley-Goose Bay prides itself on being a multi-cultural community, making it one of the province’s most diversified bright spots”.
The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay is very proud as a municipality to once again host this annual event as a symbol of our appreciation for the Francophone community in our region. We are also grateful for the partnership we share with Ėcole Boréale in raising awareness on the importance of educating our youth in the rich Francophone culture.
