Water Restriction Measures

ENTIRE VALLEY AREA – Effective Monday, August 19, 2019

Information for the Public

Release Date: August 16, 2019

 

The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay would like to remind the public of ongoing major upgrades to the Sand Hill Reservoir that will impact the Valley Area of Town.  The upgrades are necessary to replace aging pumps, valves, and electrical at the Sand Hill Reservoir.

 

To further assist with the upgrades, the Town is implementing Water Restriction Measures for the Valley portion of Town. Residents and Business from Voisey Drive / Mealy Mountain Collegiate to all Valley area, are advised that the below water restriction measures will be enforced effective Monday, August 19, 2019:

 

·        No Lawn Sprinkler Useage

·        Please Limit Car Wash activities (in Valley area)

·        Kinsmen Park Splash Pad closing effective Monday, August 19, 2019 until further notice

 

These measures are necessary to ensure all Valley area has access to water at residences and business. Residents and Business in the Valley area of Town (Voisey Drive/Mealy Mountain Collegiate to all Valley) may experience low water pressure beginning Monday, August 19, 2019.

 

Water Restrictions listed above will not affect MOT (Hamilton Heights, Spruce Park, 5 Wing Goose Bay, or Northside (Canadian Side).

 

The Town would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may cause; however, it is necessary to limit future interruptions.
