Snow Clearing Operations: Municipal Traffic Regulations

The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay is asking for the assistance of residents during this winter season to allow for our Public Works crews to safely and efficiently conduct snow clearing operations.

 

In the interest of public safety, the Town also encourages the public to become familiar with the Municipal Traffic Regulations related to Snow Clearing. The snow clearing regulations are in effect from November 01, 2019 to April 30, 2020.

 

To allow for safe snow clearing operations, residents and business owners are advised:

 

  • NOT TO PARK on any street between 12:00 midnight and 8:00 a.m.;

 

  • NOT TO PARK on any street during a snow storm;

 

  • NOT TO PARK on any street for up to 12 hours after a snow storm; and

 

  • NOT TO place/throw snow or ice on any street, sidewalk or public parking lots within Town limits.

The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay Community Constables will be actively patrolling the Town’s roadways to enforce the regulations. Individuals who violate the municipal regulations are subject to being fined.
