Traffic Disruption – Water Line Repairs Palliser Crescent

The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay Public Works Department is advising residents and businesses that due to an unexpected break in the Water Distribution Line on Palliser Crescent, necessary repairs have commenced, the below-mentioned areas will be closed to traffic.

 

Areas to be affected are:

 

  • The intersection of Palliser Crescent & Green Street
  • The intersection of Palliser Crescent & Hefler Street

The Public is further advised that residences in this area MAY experience lower than usual water pressure during this timeframe and possible discoloration of water, this may also affect surrounding areas. If you notice water discoloration, please run taps until the water runs clear. Residents located at the below addresses will experience potential water loss during the repairs:

 

#53 to #67 Palliser Crescent

#54 to #66 Palliser Crescent

 

Residents in and around the Palliser Crescent area may already be experiencing water discoloration; if so, please runs taps until water coloration clears.

 

Upon completion of repairs to the Water Distribution Line, a Boil Water Advisory will be in effect. The Town will issue a follow-up notice to that effect.

 

Town Crews will have all applicable Safety Signage visible, and motorists are encouraged to exercise caution in and around the area.
