Traffic Disruption – Water Line Repairs MacDonald Drive

The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay Public Works Department is advising residents and businesses that due to an unexpected break in the Water Distribution Line on MacDonald Drive, necessary repairs will commence approximately 10:30 AM today, Sunday, July 12, 2020, the below-mentioned areas will experience traffic disruptions.

Areas to be affected are:

• MacDonald Drive – Civic Addresses 1 to 20

The Public is further advised that residences in and around this area water will be shut off during this timeframe. Surrounding areas may experience low pressure and possible discoloration of water, If you notice water discoloration, please runs taps until the water runs clear.

Upon completion of repairs to the Water Distribution Line, which is expected to take 4 to 5 hours, a Boil Water Advisory will be in effect. The Town will issue a follow-up notice to that effect.

Town Crews will have all applicable Safety Signage visible, and motorists are encouraged to exercise caution in and around the area.
