Happy Valley-Goose Bay is accessible by Air, Sea & Road. However, with over 1100 km of highway, 6,000 km of coastline and 294,300 sq. km of landmass, Labrador is one of the last great wilderness areas on the planet. A trip to Central Labrador is an adventure and travelers should plan accordingly.

Coming from mainland Canada, Route 500 is fully paved and stretches from the Quebec border to Happy Valley-Goose Bay (530 km). Coming from the island portion of NL, Route 510 is partially paved and stretches along the east and south coasts from Blanc Sablon, QC (619 km). Once here, Route 520 will take you to nearby communities of North West River and Sheshatshiu Innu Reserve (42km).
