Information for the Public

The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay is advising the public that crews are continuing to work on containing the fire which started at the Municipal Landfill this morning, February 1st.

At this time, we are unable to determine when the fire will be extinguished.

The public will be advised should any unexpected issues arise and once the fire has been completely extinguished.

The Municipal Landfill remains open for regular business hours.
