International Day of People with Disabilities

At a Noon hour ceremony held at the Town Hall, His Worship, Mayor Wilson (Wally) Andersen along with Major R.M. Snider of 5 Wing Goose Bay signed a Proclamation recognizing December 3rd as the International Day of People with Disabilities. Joining the ceremony were members of 5 Wing Goose Bay, the 12th Council of Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Canadian Hard of Hearing Association, Council of Persons with Disabilities, and the Spinal Cord Association, and last but certainly not least the Howling Huskies Special Olympics Team members and family.
Following the ceremony, all in attendance enjoyed a luncheon of soup, sandwiches, and cake provided by 5 Wing Goose Bay and WelcomeNL.
