2019 Santa Claus Parade – “Cabin Christmas” Winners

The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay Santa Clause Parade took place on Saturday, December 7th, 2019, at 6:00 p.m. The 2019 Santa Claus Parade had the most floats yet, with some 40 floats in total!

The theme of the 2019 Santa Parade was “Cabin Christmas.”

The Town estimates that this year’s parade also had the most spectators along Hamilton River Road yet with over 400 people!

Winners were announced immediately following the 2019 Santa Claus Parade in the College of the North Atlantic Gymnasium. Judges noted that they had a very difficult time selecting the winners of each category as there were so many amazing floats this year.

 

The 2019 Santa Claus Parade winners are:

  • Best Adherence to Theme “Cabin Christmas“ – Department of Fisheries & Land Resources
  • Best Illuminated Float – 5 Wing
  • Best Commercial Float – Cabot Auto
  • Best Decorated Float – Brandt Tractor

 

Santa Claus also made an appearance at the College Gymnasium following the Parade. The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay Community Services and Recreation Department wish to thank the following companies for graciously donating to the treat bags that Santa handed out:

Eagle River Credit Union, Labrador Correctional Centre, Notre Dame Agencies, Military Family Resource Centre, Precision Auto, Department of Fisheries & Oceans Canada, Rideouts Construction, Brandt Tractor, and Serco.

A special thank you to the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay Volunteer Fire Department for putting the treat bags together, all Town Staff and RCMP involved in providing traffic safety.
