Public Use of 5 Wing Goose Bay – COVID-19
April 20, 2020 – Happy Valley-Goose Bay – Canadian Armed Forces
5 Wing Goose Bay would like to remind the public that all physical distancing measures must be followed while at 5 Wing Goose Bay, particularly with use of the area in and around the bunkers. The Wing would like to remind our community that public health measures and restrictions imposed due to COVID-19 are still in effect and have not been relaxed. Any members of the public who come to the Wing to enjoy its outdoor spaces must respect the measures directed by public health experts.
Please also ensure you pick up your trash and clean up after your pets if you choose to walk them on the base, and remember that pets are to be on leash. Additionally, please note that our housing areas are not open for family drives.
5 Wing is Department of National Defence property. In some areas, the Wing welcomes our community to enjoy the great outdoor spaces. However, if public health measures and restrictions are not followed, more areas of the Wing may have to become off-limits to our members and to the community as a whole.
Please help us ensure continued access and a safe, healthy environment for all those who live on the base and for those who come to the base to make use of its many trails and paths.
