2020 Canada Day Celebrations
Information for the Public

The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay is advising the public that it is closely monitoring information related to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Due to public health guidelines and restrictions on public gatherings, the annual Canada Day Celebrations at Kinsmen Park will not be taking place for 2020.
The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay in partnership with the Nunatsiavut Department of Health & Social Development, and the Eastern Labrador Arts Alliance (Lawrence O’Brien Arts Centre) is pleased to announce there will be a Canada Day Celebration broadcasted via the Town’s Social Media Platforms such as the Town’s Facebook Page and the Town’s YouTube Channel. Further details on broadcast time to follow.
Call for Musicians:
The Town is calling for interested musicians to submit their interest in performing. Please email pr@townhvgb.com and provide details such as:
- Solo or Band (If Band number members)
- Style of Music
- Details on the desired setlist
- Contact information such as Name (Band Name if applicable along with names of individual band members)
Time: Selected acts will be contacted with dates and times to attend the Lawrence O’Brien Arts Centre for the recording of performances.
Location: Pre-recording to take place at Lawrence O’Brien Arts Centre
The deadline to submit interest for performers is 4:00 PM, Tuesday, June 16, 2020. Please note submissions will not be accepted via Social Media.
