Town Lowers Flags in Honour of John Turner

The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay is honouring former Prime Minister of Canada, John Turner P.C., C.C., Q.C…
John Turner served our nation as Prime Minister in 1984 and served Canadians for over three decades. He passed on September 19, 2020, at the age of 91.
The 12th Council, Management, and Staff of the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay joins the nation in offering sincere condolences to John Turner’s family and friends.
In honour of his legacy and contribution, flags in front of Town Hall will fly at half-mast until sunset on the day of his funeral service, which is to take place on Tuesday, October 6, 2020.
