Town Appoints Stewart McKelvey to Spearhead Independent Investigation

In a 12:30 PM Special Meeting held Wednesday, October 21, 2020, the 12th Council of Happy Valley-Goose Bay voted unanimously to appoint the law firm, Stewart McKelvey, to engage an independent investigator to examine the circumstances related to the video that has dominated Social Media since Friday, October 16, 2020.
His Worship, Mayor Wally Andersen, Council and Management of the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay, has been steadfast and clear since the video surfaced. The whole truth must come out in a thorough, complete, and independent manner.
This matter is of the utmost importance and taken quite seriously by the Mayor, Council, and Management of the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay. No further comment will be provided on this matter, pending the outcome of the investigation.
