“World Thinking Day”

The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay is proud to partner with the Lake Melville Girl Guides in recognizing World Thinking Day.
The Girl Guides of Canada celebrates World Thinking Day each year on February 22nd, marking the shared birthday of the global Guiding founders, Lord & Lady Baden-Powell.
The theme for World Thinking Day 2022 is “Our World, Our Equal Future”. The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay and the Lake Melville Girl Guides will be spreading awareness and participating in this important day by lighting up Town Hall in “Guiding blue” and proclaiming the day to support girl empowerment.
His Worship, Mayor George Andrews, and members of the 13th Council will read a Proclamation at the start of February 22, 2022, Regular Meeting of Council. Members of the Lake Melville Girl Guides will be in attendance.
