Health Care Services a Major Concern

Happy Valley-Goose Bay Mayor Wally Andersen says residents of the community and throughout Labrador are very concerned about health care services in the region.

“Members of Council receive concerns from residents almost on a daily basis regarding our health care. During the annual meeting of the Combined Councils of Labrador in early February, the Happy Valley-Goose Bay Town Council hosted a roundtable discussion on health care issues”, said Mayor Andersen. “Once all the findings from the roundtable are finalized Council will be holding a Health Forum where residents will be able to voice their concerns.”

In the meantime, the Town Council is asking all residents who encounter a problem with the health care system in Labrador to voice their concerns through the media and to contact their local MHA.
