The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay sincerely thanks the three Indigenous leaders, Johannes Lampe (Nunatsiavut), Todd Russell (NunatuKavut), and Anastasia Qupee (Innu Nation) and Premier Ball for their hard work and perseverance in yesterday’s Muskrat Falls meeting. It was an important meeting, and we commend all involved on agreeing to a path forward.
The Town will continue to advocate for the needs and priorities of residents in Happy Valley-Goose Bay and remain available with an open invitation to ensure collaboration with all levels of Government.
The Town is committed to ongoing discussions with the Province to ensure that the concerns of residents around emergency response plans and infrastructure are also included moving forward.
