Happy Valley – Goose Bay, NL – An investment of over $650,000 in street resurfacing was approved at the municipality’s August Town Council meeting, awarding tender to Pavex Limited for street resurfacing of the following areas:

Cartwright Road
Montagnais Road
Broomfield Street (specific sections)
Michelin Street (section between Churchill Street and Ford Street)
Royal Street
Corte Real Road
Learning Street

This investment is a Multi-Year Capital Works project. The tender from Pavex Ltd. was approved at approximately $650,000.

Town Council passed a motion to request the cost of including additional streets and the municipal depot in the project, including: Corte Real Road (corner of Saunders Street to the top of Johnny Hill Drive), Lake Crescent, and Hale Street.

The project is anticipated to commence in September 2015 and will be completed this year. Every couple of years, the Town identifies areas to conduct street resurfacing under the Multi-Year Capital Works projects.
