2023 Spring Cleanup Program

The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay Department of Public Works is advising the public that its Annual Spring Cleanup Program will begin on Monday, May 29, 2023.

Litter Collection will start on Monday, May 29, 2023, with Town workers collecting litter throughout the community for approximately four to six weeks.

Bulk Residential Waste Roadside Collection will start on Monday, June 12, 2023, according to the following schedule (subject to change):

Valley Area: June 12 to 20

Hamilton Heights (MOT) Area: June 21 to 23

Spruce Park & North Side (Canadian Side): June 27 to 30

Anyone that gets missed during the above times

can contact the Town and have pickup from July 4 to 7.

*Dates are subject to change depending on quantities of materials placed roadside by residents.

This year as in other years, the Town is encouraging residents to re-consider what goes roadside. Maybe the items can be sold, donated or given away. This is all in an effort to reduce what goes to the Municipal Landfill.

If you have something that may still be reusable, maybe post it to your Facebook page so that anyone who may have a use for it can come by and pick it up.
