Recreation is vital for holistic well-being and community life quality. The Town is committed to affordable, quality recreational facilities. The Community Services & Recreation Department manages various facilities and maintains 1,860,647.19 square meters of green spaces.

  • Mealy Mountain Collegiate Sports Complex: Fencing, lighting, playground, and arena upgrades

Recreation Facilities and Public Venues:

  • E.J. Broomfield Memorial Arena (bookings required): Ice rink, conference room, canteen, convertible for non-ice events, with Wi-Fi.
  • Husky Park: Senior Ball Field, washroom facilities on request.
  • Kinsmen Park: Playground, walking trail, performance stage, BBQ & Picnic area (Private bookings), Splash Pad, washrooms.
  • Mealy Mountain Collegiate Sports Complex (bookings required for sports field usage): Skateboard Park, Bike Park, fields, washrooms, changing rooms.
  • Playground Facilities: Steve’s, Laurier Loop, Perrault Place, Robert Road, Spruce Park, Bike & Walking Paths, Green Spaces.

Goose Bay Curling Club:

  • Offers men’s, women’s, and mixed league curling teams, bonspiels, funspiels, and ice rentals. Municipally owned, operated by the Goose Bay Curling Club.

  • Features an accessible 25m, 6-lane main pool, play pool, change rooms, conditioning center, indoor track, child care, and more.

Healthy Waters Labrador:
