Below is a presentation outlining the results of that study.

Final Report

After eight months of work, Dr. Ahsan Habib and the research team from the Dalhousie University Transportation Collaboratory, in partnership with Town staff, have completed the Public Transit Feasibility Study for the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay. This report presents several significant findings about the need for public transit in this region and is one of the first such studies to be done in a Northern Canadian context. This study was made possible by funding from the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay and Mitacs.

Throughout this project, we have sought your feedback in a long-form survey, a public consultation session, and a ‘draw your own route’ survey. The active engagement of the community at every level of this project made this report possible. Thank you to everyone who took the time to participate.

Should you have any questions or comments about this report, please contact the Director of Community Development and Research, Brenna Jarrar, at cd@townhvgb.com or 709-899-0392.
