Riverbank Erosion Project

In the spring of 2014, significant erosion was identified along the Churchill riverbank in critical areas around two of the five municipal wells. In 2016, the Town identified funding for this project that stabilized the riverbank and stopped erosion from occurring in the vicinity of the two wells affected. If this stabilization project had not been completed, the volume of water that would be available to supply the Water Treatment Plant would have been greatly affected.

Cost: $628,000
