Join us for the Happy Valley-Goose Bay Winter Carnival 2018 on April 13th & 14th!
Organized by the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay and dedicated volunteers, the Carnival will be a community celebration filled with lots of activities and events such as: a snow sculpture contest, family fun day, youth night event and an adult night event.
Attend any of the Carnival events to enter your name in a draw for a chance to win a return trip for two anywhere PAL Airlines flies!
Carnival details will be announced as they become available, so stay tuned and save the date! Updates will be released on the Town’s website and official Facebook page.
Youth Dance, April 13th 7:30 – 11 p.m., McNally’s:
This is a free event for all youth in grades 7-12. Enjoy a fun-filled evening with pool, dancing, games and a chance to win an Ipad – donated by D’s Landing and Lake Melville Wholesalers! Mocktails will be provided by Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
Transportation to and from the youth dance will be provided. Pickups begin at 7pm at D’s Landing and continue to North Mart, the Arena, Credit Union and Skipper Joes.
The bus will leave the youth dance at 11:30pm and drop offs will take place in the reverse order.
Family Fun Day, April 14th 10a.m. – 4 p.m., MMC Sports Complex:
Join us at the MMC Sports Complex for a day of fun! Residents and organizations interested in setting up a booth during the event are asked to register via the Vendor Application Form and drop it off at the Town Hall or fax it to: 709-896-9454

Free hot dogs, hamburgers, hot chocolate and juice boxes will be provided by the Kinettes and Kinsmen.

Adult Beverage Tournament – Friday, April 13th: Beverage Pong Tournament will begin at 7 p.m., at local establishments. Beverages used for this event will be player’s choice of water, juice, pop or alcoholic beverage. Tournament finals to be held at Maxwell’s on Saturday, April 14th at 10 p.m. Participants must be 19+ years of age to attend.
