A new initiative spearheaded by Dean Simon, Registered Dietitian intern, will be launched this week in partnership with the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Labrador-Grenfell Health and the Trappers’ Running Club.

Members of the public are invited to join in the launch of Walk, Ride, Run HVGB this Wednesday, October 5th at 12 p.m. at the Town Hall.

The event will include an explanation of the program, photo and a quick walk around the block.

Anyone wishing to participate can pick up special Walk, Ride, Run HVGB maps at the Town Hall or download it here:Walk, Ride, Run HVGB MAP

The goal of the initiative is for participants to walk, ride or run every street in town to fill their individual maps and engage in active lifestyles.

Participants with completed maps will be able to submit them for a prize draw, from local sponsors, which will take place on April 1, 2017. More details on where to submit the completed maps will be provided on the program’s Facebook page http://ow.ly/y9aa304NAOv
