Every year thousands of volunteer hours are contributed by community members that affect our day to day lives. The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay aims to celebrate this contribution yet again this year by hosting a Family Evening: Public Skate, a Hockey Game showcasing the Volunteer HV-GB Firefighters, local RCMP and the Novice division of the Lake Melville Extreme Minor Hockey Association, a Healthy Snack, and a Volunteer Award Presentation.

We are very excited to announce that Labrador MP, Yvonne Jones will also partake in the evening as she presents the “Labradorians of Distinction” Award to 3 very deserving participants.

This year’s event will take place on April 17th at the E.J. Broomfield Arena; the admission for this event is one non-perishable food item. All non-perishable foods items donated will go to the Happy Valley-Goose Bay Food Bank.
