2021 Remembrance Poppy Campaign

As in past years, the last Friday of October signifies the launch of the Royal Canadian Legion’s annual Poppy Campaign. From today, October 29th through to November 11, 2021, the Poppy will be available to everyone to wear freely, however, donations are most welcome.
Starting today you will find a Poppy available in most businesses in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
2021 Marks the 100th Anniversary of the Poppy.
Pictured below is the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 051 Sergeant at Arms, John Holwell presenting His Worship, Mayor George Andrews the first Poppy for the 2021 Campaign.
The Remembrance Day Flag was also raised in front of the Town Hall.
