2021 Santa Claus Parade – “Christmas Movies”

The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay Santa Parade will take place on Sunday, December 5, 2021; there will be two portions to the 2021 Parade:
On Sunday, December 5, 2021, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, there will be a static Santa Claus Parade. Located in the EJ Broomfield Memorial Arena Parking Lot, the Static Santa Claus Parade will offer a sensory-friendly option for those with autism spectrum disorder and other sensitivities to sound and lights an opportunity to enjoy the festive spirit of the Santa Claus Parade. This will be a new aspect for the Santa Claus Parade and one we can build on for future years to ensure the Town is as inclusive as possible.
At 4:00 PM on Sunday, December 5, 2021, the parade with lights and sirens will begin on Green Street and travel down Hamilton River Road, ending at the College of the North Atlantic Campus.

In the interest of public safety, the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay once again stress to those attending the Parade from the side of Hamilton River Road, please use extreme caution and care and not step onto the roadside and/or approach the Floats at any time during the parade. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 restrictions, Santa will not hand out treats to children inside the College of the North Atlantic.
The deadline for registration of Floats is Noon, Monday, November 29, 2021.

Winners will be announced immediately following the 2021 Santa Claus Parade at a location to be announced. The 2021 Registered Floats will be judged in the following categories:
• Best Adherence to Theme – “Christmas Movies“
• Best Illuminated Float
• Best Commercial Float
• Best Decorated Float
