2022 Municipal By-Election Update
Information for the Public
Release Date: October 28, 2022
The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay would like to inform the public that a Municipal By-Election will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2022. Polls will be located at The Town Office Boardroom.
Nomination Day will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2022 from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Town Office.
If you are considering running for the above, please consider the below eligibility requirements:
· You are an eligible voter in the municipality in which you are nominated.
· You are not in arrears of taxes or other charges to the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
· You have lived in the municipality for at least 30 days before the commencement of the nomination period.
The Advance Poll will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022 from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
There will be one ballot for voters to consider on election day:
· Ballot for one Councillor
Residents may enter the Polling Station through the side entrance on the left hand side of the building. Signs will be in place to guide you to the entrance.
