The Town of Happy Valley-Goose will be holding its 3rd Annual Polar Dip Fundraiser for the Labrador Wellness Centre Project on
Saturday, November 7th, 11:00 a.m. at the
Labrador Hunting and Fishing Association Public Boat Launch (Main Dock)
Residents throughout Upper Lake Melville are invited to get involved with this annual event. All proceeds raised will go towards funding for the Labrador Wellness Centre Project.
Participants are asked to fill out the following documents for the event:
Pledge Sheet
Waiver Form
Photo Release Form
These documents are also available for pick-up at the Town Hall and the E.J. Broomfield Memorial Arena.
Happy Valley-Goose Bay Ground Search and Rescue personnel will be on site. This year, in an effort to ensure maximum safety, participants will be entering the water at intervals. Groups will be assigned upon arrival at the event.
Completed pledge sheets and funds can be submitted upon arrival at the event. Waiver and photo release forms will be provided for participants before the event begins.
The town encourages all citizens in the Upper Lake Melville region to join in the event by coming out to watch the brave souls taking “the Dip”!
