World Suicide Prevention Day

September 10th, 2018 is World Suicide Prevention Day. World Suicide Prevention Day is an awareness day observed on the 10th of September every year, in order to provide worldwide commitment and action to prevent suicides, with various activities around the world since 2003.
The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay along with the Happy Valley-Goose Bay Suicide Awareness Committee will be participating in a Proclamation Signing taking place at Town Hall at 12 Noon.
Mayor Wally Andersen will sign a Proclamation declaring September 10th, 2018 as Suicide Awareness Day and encourages all community members to raise awareness of resources in the community and encourage others to seek help when they need.
There will be a 12th Annual Suicide Awareness Walk starting from the Happy Valley-Goose Bay RCMP Detachment at 5:00PM.
