EJ Broomfield Memorial Arena – Public & Casual Skate Times

The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay Department of Community Services & Recreation is pleased to advise residents of “Winter Activities” taking place at two of our most popular facilities.
In the past, a Snowshoeing venue was available to residents at Husky Park. New for Winter 2019 / 2020, the snowshoeing venue will be at Kinsmen Park. Kinsmen Park has lighting that will allow snowshoers to enjoy the facility from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM 7 Days a week (no charge). Access to Kinsmen Park will be from the parking lot only.
The EJ Broomfield Memorial Arena will host several Skating activities throughout the Winter months:
- Lunchtime Skating (no charge) will be available from Noon to 1:00 PM, Monday to Friday
- Hockey Skating (Ages 16 years +) (no charge) will be available 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Monday to Friday
- Seniors Skating (Ages 55 years +) (no charge) will be available from 11:00 AM to Noon, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
- Seniors Hockey Skating (Ages 55 years +) (no charge) will be available from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
- Public Skating will be available Fridays from 8:00 PM to 8:50 PM and Sundays from 2:00 PM to 2:50 PM (12 years old and over $3.00) (under 12 years old $2.00)
The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Department of Community Services & Recreation, is reminding the public that the EJ Broomfield Memorial Arena is accepting bookings for Ice Rentals.
