Information for the Public
The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay is advising the public that two annual water flushing programs will begin on May 16th, 2016.
Fire Hydrant Flushing
Valley Area only
Monday – Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Sewer Flushing
The following areas will be done in sequence: 1) Spruce Park; 2) MOT; 3) North Side. Monday – Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
These programs will be ongoing for the duration of the summer months and will include inspection, cleaning of the water mains, flushing and testing of fire hydrants.
These annual water flushing programs may cause temporary discoloration and sedimentation in the water supply. The Town recommends that residents open their taps and run the water until clear.
Please be advised that while using washing machines, discoloration of the water may cause staining of clothing.
The Town apologizes for any inconvenience that may arise from the annual programs.
