Boil Water Advisory LIFTED:
All areas of Happy Valley – Goose Bay

The Boil Water Advisory issued by the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay in conjunction with 5 Wing Goose Bay on July 28, 2018, has been lifted for the following areas:
All Streets / All Homes & Business
5 Wing Goose Bay has advised that the precautionary boil water advisory has been lifted. Sampling for bacteriological contamination was completed and the results came back negative.
The reason for the advisory was an increased level of turbidity discovered during regular water quality monitoring. This turbidity increase was caused by high surface water flows into Spring Gulch from the surrounding sandy soil due to heavy rains.
Please note that residents may still notice some discoloration (cloudiness).
There are heavy rains expected in the coming days. 5 Wing and the Town of Happy Valley – Goose Bay will continue to monitor the quality of Spring Gulch Water Supply and will take appropriate actions to ensure the health and safety of our community.
