The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay and the Dog Park Committee will be holding an official grand opening of the Dog Park on Saturday, September 12 at 2:00 p.m. This event will take place in conjunction with the Dog Park clean-up (removal of dead trees, brush cutting,etc.) and barbeque from 1:00 – 4 p.m.
The Dog Park is located at the end of Cherrywood Drive.
The Dog Park Committee welcomes volunteers for the clean-up and invites the community to join in the celebrations with their canine companions. Members of the public and media are invited to attend.
The park accommodates two areas for dogs: 1)small or shy dogs, and 2) medium to larger dogs. Dogs must be on leashes until they enter the park. Waste bags and garbage containers are provided for owners to clean up after their dogs.
Please note that dogs under the age of 6 months are not permitted due to the fact they are not fully vaccinated, and dogs in heat are not permitted.
