2022 Spring Schedule

The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Department of Community Services and Recreation advises the public that the EJ Broomfield Memorial Arena Winter Schedule of Events has now ended. The ice surface has been removed and replaced with the installation of the Turf Floor in preparation for the 2022 Minor Soccer Program.
There are rental times available until Sunday, May 1, 2022, if you or your organization is interested, please contact Ann Morris at 709.899.0607 for more information.
Furthermore, the public is advised that the Kinsmen Park Walking Path is closed effective immediately. Conditions at Kinsmen Park are wet and mucky combined with water pooling in various locations around the outdoor facility.
Beginning Tuesday, April 26, 2022, the floor space of the EJ Broomfield Memorial Arena will be available to Seniors for walking. The schedule for this activity will be Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
The past two years have seen decreased activities taking place at your EJ Broomfield Memorial Arena. With the easement of restrictions due to COVID-19 taking effect in 2022, it has been wonderful to see the community once again enjoying the facility. From Minor Hockey to Figure Skating to everyday activities, it is evident that the EJ Broomfield Memorial Arena is a vital facility for our community.
