Section of Kelland Drive
Information for the Public
Release Date: July 20, 2021

The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay is advising residents of a water shut-off required for Wednesday, July 21, 2021, starting at 8:00 AM, due to necessary repairs needed to the Water Distribution Line. Crews estimate the water will shut off and the required repairs to take the day.

The area to be affected include:

From the intersection of Kelland Drive & Tooktashina Drive

to the corner of Kelland Drive & Churchill Street

This water shut-off is necessary to complete emergency repairs to the Water Distribution Line supplying the area mentioned above. As a result of this interruption, the Town will be issuing a Boil Water Advisory (once the work has been completed and water restored) for this area until further notice.

Businesses located between the areas mentioned above will experience a complete loss of water for the day. However, the water shut-off will not apply to Mitchell Street and Adams Loop residents.

Crews will have heavy equipment operating in the area, and all appropriate safety signage and flags persons will be on-site for the duration of the repairs. Traffic, at times, maybe reduced to one lane. Motorists are advised to exercise caution when in the area.

The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
