Emergency Water Shut-off – Emergency Water Line Repairs

The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay advises residents that an emergency water shut-off is required beginning Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at 9:00 AM, due to necessary repairs needed to the Water Distribution Line. Crews estimate the required repairs will take until 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 8, 2021.

 

The area to be affected include:

 

Hamilton River Road – From Civic Address #96 to #114

Hamilton River Road – From Civic Address #81 to #109 

Also includes the following locations:

 

Warr’s Pharmacy

Maxwells Bentleys

Pizza Delight,

North Star Building

Dexter Institute

Greenleaf Ltd.

United Church

Birch Island Spa. 

 

 

This water shut-off is necessary to complete emergency repairs to the Water Distribution Line supplying the area mentioned above. As a result of this interruption, the Town will be issuing a Boil Water Advisory (once the work has been completed and water restored) for this area until further notice.

 

Residents in the area mentioned above will experience a complete loss of water until approximately 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 8, 2021.

 

Crews will have heavy equipment operating in the area, and all appropriate safety signage and flags persons will be on-site for the duration of the repairs.
