Emergency Water Shut-off: Spruce Park Area

The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay is advising residents of an urgent water shut-off scheduled to start at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 15, 2021, due to emergency repairs to the Water Distribution Line.

 

An attempt will be made to make necessary repairs without complete loss; however, residents in the Spruce Park Area may experience a total loss of water while repairs are underway. Residents and businesses should be prepared for a complete loss of water for the day.

 

The area to be affected include:

 

Park Drive (vicinity of 91 Park Drive) / Spruce Avenue Intersection

Lake Crescent / Spruce Avenue Intersection

 

This emergency shut-off is necessary to complete emergency repairs to the Water Distribution Line supplying the areas mentioned above. As a result of this interruption, the Town will be issuing a Boil Water Advisory (once the work has been completed and water restored) for this area until further notice.

 

Further to the above, the Town is issuing a Traffic Advisory for the above area. Heavy Equipment will be operating in the area and Motorists and Pedestrians are encouraged to proceed with caution in the area. All applicable Safety Signage and Barricades will be in place.
